Description
New Canaan, CT
October 2012
The architect Phillip Johnson designed numerous well-known and beautiful buildings over his career. The Glass House in New Canaan, CT is just as it is named - all the walls, including its exterior, are clear glass. Located on a large isolated lot in beautiful Fairfield County, the interior gives the feel of being out in the countryside. A stop to tour the house is highly recommended. However, it was the furnishings in the lobby of the visitor center, where we purchased tickets and awaited the bus for our ride out to the house tour, that made the most powerful image of the day for me.
Entered in Wilton Arts Council's Focus '13 Photography Contest.
