For several years, I had been looking for the opportunity to photograph this building in Long Island City, with its reflective facade and 3-dimensional architectural features - balconies, I presume. On the day of a blessed family event, it proved to be a good distraction as my wife and I awaited good news. We took the short walk from where we were staying and as I was taking this particular shot, the text message arrived...
