The medieval town of Speyer, Germany was a stop on our Rhine River cruse. It was this unlikely and oblivious town where religious and family politics led to the construction of one of the largest cathedrals in the world. While the church was interesting, the former walled city was a captivating place to stroll around. With credit to my wife who noticed the window box of flowers on each window of a building across the street, the lovely scene became my subject.
