April 2016
My wife and I had taken our daughter and her two friends who were visiting us from New York City to dinner at a restaurant on Shelter Cove - known for scenic views of Broad Creek, spartina grass and beautiful sunsets. After dinner, we walked across the Promenade to watch the sun set and I took this photo. Lwater, hen I was reviewing the image on my computer at home, my wife commented “it looks like the sky is on fire”, hence the title.
