The Queens Public Library at Hunters Point is housed in an ultra-modern architecture building that opened in 2019. The 6-story cube with stark white walls and amoeba-shaped windows is situated adjacent to Gantry State Park along the East River in Long Island City, directly across the river rom mid-town Manhattan. This reflection shot from the west-facing side of the building includes foliage from the Long Island City side of the East River and some of the Manhattan skyscrapers on the opposite side of the river.
