We regularly position our Christmas tree in the living room at the edge of the seating area and about 15 feet from our front entrance. The top half of our front door is glass and has wood gridding that separates the window into 9 panes. Along with the sidelights on each side of the door, there is plenty of reflective glass available after darkness. This image was inspired when I caught a glimpse of the glowing Christmas tree reflected in the door's window. Including part of the tree in the image composition gave the impression that the was gazing at itself in a mirror hanging across the room from it - thus inspiring the title of the image.
